KEN JEWETT’S STORY
I hope the following program will not be considered a work of vanity. I do not excel in vanity. However, I am pleased to be an Entrepreneur of two successful enterprises, Marsan Foods and Maple Leaves Forever and the proud father of a wonderful family.
The material that follows tells not only my story but Edie Jewett’s story as well. Whatever I accomplished I could not have done without Edie as a partner.
My main reason for presenting all this information is for later generations of our family to learn about their ancestors. If interested, for non-family visitors, I warn you there is a lot of watching – suggest going through it one segment at a time – spaced out.
HOW IT ALL HAPPENED
I wrote a series of newsletter articles for Marsan Foods. The main part of this book encapsulate the ups and downs of this organization as it struggled to be successful at the end of that which it is.

MAPLE LEAVES FOREVER
This tells the story of what Maple Leaves Forever is all about. It is a video that was dedicated to Canada’s 150th Birthday. Much of the video was filmed at our farm, Larch Hill in Mulmur.
2021 LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

This award was presented to Ken on his 91st Birthday, September 23rd, 2021.

This year’s deserving recipient is Ken Jewett for his dedication to preserving the native Canadian Maple. For 20 years, the nature advocate and philanthropist has dedicated his time and financial resources to planting initiatives and environmental education about native maple trees. Through his foundation, Maple Leaves Forever, nearly 130,000 maple trees have been planted in Ontario, reinforcing the importance of native species to healthy ecosystems. Congratulations, Ken!”

This is all about the Native Canadian Maple.
MARSAN FOODS
This video encapsulate two aspects of Marsan Food. The first Edie, Graeme, James and I cooking and packaging prepared meals in the late 60’s. The family shots you see in the video is the actual start of Marsan Foods. The video then jumped as it exists in year 2016 showing having automatized sophisticated cooking and packaging operation.
